Discover the Arrábida Terra project

At Arrábida Terra, we are working on a project to provide a modern and international education experience that prepares students for the future.
Our project-based learning approach will provide creativity and critical thinking, empowering students to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

With Arrabida Terra we aim to establish a unique educational opportunity in Azeitão, centered around four core principles: growth, sustainability, community, and innovation.

Our school will provide a diverse international setting where students can engage with the Portuguese curriculum, seamlessly studying in both Portuguese and English. Our goal is to cultivate bilingualism among students, offering them enhanced prospects for future employment and university pathways upon completion of their education.

Emphasizing innovation and excellence, our school will operate within a lush, natural environment, blending modernity with nature.

Captured in a metropolitan Atlanta, Georgia primary school, seated amongst his classmates, this photograph depicts a young African-American schoolboy who was in the process of drawing with a pencil on a piece of white paper. Note that the student was focused on a drawing book that referenced fantasy flying planes, while intent on creating his artwork, seemingly oblivious to all the classroom goings-on that surrounded him. It is important to know that objects, including pencils, crayons, paper, etc., are known as fomites, and can act as transmitters of illnesses.

About us

Arrábida Terra is a new educational initiative nestled in Azeitao.

Recognizing the gap in educational offerings beyond Year 5, and especially after Year 9, we've embarked on a mission to fill that void.

Our goal is to establish an international school amidst the stunning scenery of Arrábida, commencing in September 2025.

Initially, we plan to cater to students from Year 5 to Year 12, with future plans to extend to Primary school. However, our approach will be tailored to demand and, most importantly, YOUR input.

We value your feedback and aim to create an educational environment that meets the needs of your children. Your interest and engagement are crucial to our community.

Please take a moment to register your interest, and we'll keep you updated with further details as our project unfolds.

Above all, this is a community endeavor, and we look forward to shaping it together!
